Homebrew RPG Systems
A collection of rule system design endeavors I've tried. It's an idle hobby. I tend to dabble with them, tweak them, and eventually abandon them, though each one seems to make it a little further and get a little more polished. None of them are really complete though.
- Zludge, v1.0
-- A "rules-lite" story-focused roleplaying system built from the Fudge and FATE systems. (2007; dead)
- Zludge, v2.0
-- A very modular core rule system with a myriad of different versions, including huffy (a hiking RPG), fluffy (lite), prime (generic RPG), and drudge (a d20 reimagining); all in too many broken pieces to post here. (2007-2009; dead?)
- d20house
-- My compilation of house rules for most of my d20 (Dungeons & Dragons) campaigns. (2009-)
- z20
-- A lite version of the d20 core rules. Relatively complete, but unpolished. (2009-2010; shelved/dead?)
- Caligo
-- A very lite system for horror, occult, and sanity games, inspired by many other systems such as DRYH, WoD, QAGS, Risus, FATE, etc. Still very unpolished, with some ties to a version of Zludge:huffy.
(2010-)
- zilch/agony
-- A boardgame-like dungeon-crawl system that evolved into a more robust rules-lite fantasy RPG with imported d20 flavor.
